Great efforts are being made towards resolving the issue, from a manufacturing standpoint, but we can’t tell you when it will be solved (no one knows). The good news is the market is about to be flooded with new models from folks like Ford, Hyundai, VW, and a little upstart called Rivian.
To wit: If you call around to your local dealer right now, you will have a hard time getting your hands on an e-car - unless you are willing to pay over sticker, and surrender your first born. We are working on solving that!
Right now we are working on more car flow with Polestar, so we will be delivering those reservations first! Next up, let's get you some Vespas - we will have a lot of them very soon, we promise.
We’re looking into this all CONSTANTLY, but we can’t tell you our passwords so that you can read our emails to verify that (IT said so).
What we can say is this: We will always tell you everything we know, even when that means saying that we just don’t know. AND, we will keep busting our butts to get you into your dream EV ASAP.
The demand for EVs is growing and it’s estimated that, by 2030, EV sales will make up about 53 percent of all passenger-car sales. Which is awesome news. What’s not so awesome is that, at this particular point in time, a pretty substantial microchip shortage is slowing the production of EVs wayyy down and this issue is affecting everyone – us, you, OEMs, Elon Musk – EVERYONE.
